Straight From Our Clients...

In Jan 2019, I participated in the Canadian Rockies Winter Photo Tour. This was my second workshop with Edwin Martinez. He is an extraordinary photographer, who generously and expertly shares his experience and tips with his clients. This winter tour was my first trip with Wide Horizon and Edwin’s associates – Noel and Francis. All three of these guys were of the same mind and nature: They all have the ability to set one at ease, have a good sense of humour/fun and have shared their expertise with all participants. As a result, I captured amazingly images of the many stunning photo-ops, which my colleagues at home have indicated as professional in quality. During the workshop, not only did my ability as a photographer improve, but at the same time I enjoyed the companionship of other photographers from outside of Canada (obviously I am a Canadian). This experience was a lot of fun. I highly recommend that fellow photographers secure a spot on one of Wide Horizon Photo Adventures’ photo tours.

I joined Noel this fall on two tours, the Eastern Sierras and Utah. Noel was tireless in getting us to the right spots at the right time, and providing his composition, technical, and post-processing expertise whenever it was needed. I had a great time, learned a lot, and got some great shots!

I participated in two two trips with Edwin and both times I had a great time. Edwin is a great guide and a great photography teacher. His experience and insight helped me immensely. He was always well prepared for each day's photoshoot, he knew each location very well and his "local knowledge" was very helpful. I would highly recommend Edwin and his company, Wide Horizon Photo Adventures

I can’t recommend Wide Horizon enough! Amazing, talented guides - spectacular locations - wonderful accommodations and willingness and ability to flex and bend the schedule for the best light and weather. Don’t hesitate to sign up for a photo adventure with Wide Horizon!

I was once on vacation. We booked the usual tour arranged by a travel agency, and was promptly herded with dozens of other tourists on a packed bus. "Never again" I thought. And so I'm grateful that Wide Horizon came along. With Edwin and Noel as our guides, we were like a small group of big game hunters going on unique and fantastic locations. The "game" being epic photos that'll get you hundreds of likes and worthy of having them printed and mounted proudly in your living room. Great company coupled with great food and all accommodations taken care of, ensuring a totally stress free and enjoyable experience. If there's an active aurora, a beautiful sunrise or mountains awashed in breathtaking alpenglow, you can count on them to put you at the right spot. Our experience was priceless and we’ll never forget the new friends we’ve met. I can’t wait to go on their next adventure.
EDIT: My latest 2018 adventure with them to Patagonia makes it my 3rd time with them, and as usual it was an epic adventure. Can't wait for the next one.

I had such an awesome time learning the trade secrets of landscape photography from Edwin and Noel. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am to them for sharing their techniques on how to come up with stunning and professional landscape photos. Due to their tutelage, I am having an exhibit this March in 8 Rockwell- my first to feature solely fine art photography. Thank you to Edwin and Noel!

Experienced Canadian Rockies Photo Expedition with Wide Horizons. It was an adventure, awesome photography class and the experience of life time combined together. The tour was very well organized, the guides are extremely knowledgeable and will maximize your time. By far the best photo tour company I've experienced.

They never fail to bring us to epic places at the perfect time. Their attention to detail from planning as well as during our trip was admirable to make sure that we are comfortable and safe. If the weather doesn't cooperate, they always have a plan B so that we can make the most of our tour. The guides were very knowledgeable and patiently there to guide us, making certain that we bring home the best photos and memories. Thank you, Edwin, Noel and Francis, you guys are top notch and will not hesitate to recommend you to family and friends. Looking forward to your next tour.

Everything was absolutely great !! I recently went on the Autumn Tour.....my first.
This should speak volumes.......I’m not an experienced photographer (never even had a formal photography lesson) but I do like taking pictures and being outdoors in nature. I tagged along with my brother who has been on previous Photo Adventures with Wide Horizon. I had no idea what to expect. From day 1 of the trip, everything was organized to a tee yet didn’t feel at all like a rigid schedule. Each day was planned yet there was flexibility within “the plan” and each day was relaxing. The guides, Noel and Edwin, are knowledgeable, attentive, patient, flexible and gracious which made the entire trip relaxing, fun and rewarding. They are experienced with a keen sense of direction. As far as the photography.....wow, wow, wow ! Not only will looking through a camera never be the same for me, but my “sight” of sunrises and sunsets, clouds and nature were enhanced “because” of this landscape photo tour !! The casual and hands-on guidance and instruction to each individual was certainly present. They were consistently available for questions, assistance, advisement or just for their expert opinion.
It was an absolutely amazing and rewarding adventure. If you are on this site and reading this, and contemplating if you should go........Sign up! You will not be disappointed.

We just finished a great week in the Utah national parks with Noel Casaje. He was patient and helpful and made sure we were in perfect spots for sunrise and sunset each day. He’s good at tailoring the level of instruction to the needs of each client...and the accommodations and vehicle were just fine. Highly recommended for all levels of experience...just bring your energy and enthusiasm.

I am blessed and privileged being able to join with top landscape-travel photographer Edwin Martinez and Noel Casaje in the “2015 Eastern Sierra Tour” photographing iconic locations in the US. Great tour package from food, accommodation, transportation with ample shooting tips from these two experienced professionals. They will bring you to different location at the perfect timing to capture the colorful light which is very important. I had an amazing time with the entire group capturing sceneries guided by professionals. Guided tours such as this is highly recommended to any landscape photo enthusiast to maximize your benefits.

I just recently returned from the Eastern Sierra tour from Wide Horizon Photo Adventures. Noel Casaje, our fearless leader, took us to some amazing locations, pointed us toward beautiful composition opportunities, and was willing and very able to answer any questions or solve any problems that arose. It was a great experience and I came home with many lovely photos. I would highly recommend Wide Horizon Photo Adventures.

Edwin and Noel strive to assure location, weather, and light are as optimal as possible for those once-in-a-lifetime shots. The key is their flexibility to work around unexpected changes. Thanks guys!

This is my 3rd photo tour with edwin and the second with noel ... the reason why i always come back is because they make sure that the participants will be able to get more than their moneys worth.. the schedule was very convenient and they do their best to keep us safe and very satisfied.. during off hours we also explore the best restaurants and shops around the area... i am always joined by my wife (not a phototgrapher) but she enjoys all the places visited.. i plan to join another tour next year

I went to the Canadian Rockies Tour with Wide Horizon...it was not a vacation, but a photo expedition. They prepared us well for the conditions to make our trip safe and comfortable. They know the area well and able to get us to the right locations at the right time. They allowed time for us to scope out the area before the light show starts. Highly recommend these guys if you are serious about your photography.

We have recently returned from a fantastic Canadian Rockies tour with Wide Horizon Photo Adventure. The tour was by far well organized, informative of locations shooting, good foods, nice accommodations and the amazing people in our group. Leading our tour were Edwin and Noel, truly professional photographers and guides, with such passion and dedication ready to assist anyone who needs guidance in improving their photography and processing skills. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would not hesitate to recommend Wide Horizon Photo Adventure to friends and anyone who is passionate in photography.

My trip with Wide Horizon Photography Tours to Lofoten, Norway was epic and unforgettable. It was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that should be on every photographer’s bucket list!
The Wide Horizon Lofoten Tour took us to the most picturesque destinations throughout Norway's Lofoten Islands - from Hamnoy, to Renie, Fredvang, Skagsanden Beach, Uttakleiv, and Stortinden. We stayed in traditional Norwegian Rorbu Cabins that were comfortable, spacious, and clean. On our tour there were 8 participants and 3 instructors (a perfect student to teacher ratio). All of the Wide Horizon instructors are highly skilled, friendly, helpful, energetic, and passionate photographers. They can answer any photography related question with ease - whether it be related to camera, gear, composition, etc. They are all knowledgeable technically and gifted artistically.
On the Lofoten trip, a typical day begins before daybreak with a sunrise shoot. Afterward, the group stops for breakfast and travels to other locations. In the middle of the day, the group generally returns back to the cabins to recharge batteries, download images, rest, and prepare for additional sessions later in the day. The instructors often offer mid-day learning sessions (such as Photoshop techniques for landscape photographers or creative design elements in landscape photography). In the evening, the group will reconvene again for a sunset shoot, and possibly even a night shoot. The instructors always advise what time to meet, what gear to bring, how to dress, and what to expect on the next shoot. They are always attentive to the needs of the trip participants and are dedicated to helping each participant capture great images!
The trip and itineraries are designed for maximum photographic opportunities and the instructors are constantly monitoring the weather so that chances to photograph in the best conditions are not missed. My tour group was even able to witness and photograph the Northern Lights from Skagsanden Beach – a night I will never forget! Our leaders worked hard to make sure we were present and prepared for this spectacular opportunity.
Wide Horizon Tours always takes care of all the details so that participants only have to think about their photography and having a great time.
Anyone and everyone passionate about photography will LOVE a tour with Wide Horizon.

It was a journey to remember. The team leaders Edwin Martinez and Noel Casaje has a very well rounded schedule that kept us busy, always ready with back-up plans. Their guidance kept both teams at ease thus providing a very organized tour. I will see you both next year and thank you!
